TVS has showcased a CNG-powered Jupiter scooter — and it could completely change how India commutes affordably. Cleaner. Cheaper. Smarter?
Based on the popular TVS Jupiter, this new version runs on CNG + petrol (dual fuel). That means flexibility with serious savings.
CNG costs significantly less than petrol in most Indian cities. Expected benefits: ✔ Lower fuel bills ✔ Reduced emissions ✔ Ideal for daily office run For budget-conscious riders, this is huge.
The scooter gets: • A dedicated CNG tank • Backup petrol tank • Seamless switching system Just like CNG cars — but now on two wheels.
The Jupiter CNG is expected to retain the refined engine feel of the standard TVS Jupiter. Performance may be slightly tuned for efficiency — but practicality remains the focus.
The biggest question: storage. The CNG tank placement may reduce under-seat space. But TVS seems to be working on smart packaging solutions.
Office-goers • Delivery riders • Budget-focused families • High daily mileage user If you ride 30–50 km daily, this could save serious money.
Currently, no major scooter brand offers factory-fitted CNG. Petrol rivals include: • Honda Activa • Suzuki Access 125 But CNG? TVS may be first mover.
The scooter has been showcased as a concept. Launch could happen in late 2026 or Early 2027 depending on infrastructure and demand. Official confirmation awaited from TVS Motor Company.
With rising fuel prices, CNG scooters make practical sense. If priced right, the TVS Jupiter CNG could redefine daily commuting in India. Would you switch to CNG?
