Toyota is preparing a bold new electric SUV for India — the Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella. Modern design, long range, and premium tech could make it one of the most exciting EV launches.
The Ebella marks Toyota entering India’s mass-market EV segment. It aims to combine Toyota reliability with next-generation electric technology.
Early reports suggest pricing could start around ₹18–22 lakh (ex-showroom). That places the Ebella directly against popular electric SUVs in India.
The SUV is expected to offer two battery options: • 49 kWh • 61 kWh The larger pack could deliver up to 543 km range on a single charge.
The bigger battery version could produce around 174 bhp and 189 Nm torque, delivering quick acceleration and smooth electric performance.
Expected premium features include: • Panoramic sunroof • Ventilated front seats • Ambient lighting • JBL sound system Toyota is targeting a modern premium EV feel.

The Ebella could offer: • 7 airbags • Level-2 ADAS • 360-degree camera • Blind-spot monitoring. Safety will be a major focus.
In the electric SUV market, it may rival: • Hyundai Creta Electric • Tata Curvv EV • MG ZS EV Competition will be intense.
With long range, premium tech and Toyota reliability, the Urban Cruiser Ebella could become one of India’s most desirable electric SUVs. 2026 might be a big year for Toyota EVs.
