India’s SUV giant Mahindra & Mahindra is preparing to showcase a brand-new concept — Vision X. And it could hint at a future compact SUV launching in India by August 2026.
The Mahindra Vision X is expected to preview a next-generation compact SUV designed for young Indian buyers who want bold design and modern tech.
Early reports suggest Vision X could feature: • Sharp LED lighting • Muscular SUV stance • Coupe-style rear profile Inspired by the design language seen on Mahindra XUV700.
Expect a futuristic cabin with: • Large touchscreen infotainment • Digital instrument cluster • Connected car technology • Advanced driver assistance features. Mahindra is pushing premium tech into smaller SUVs.
Mahindra may offer multiple powertrain options: • Turbo-petrol engine • Hybrid setup • Possible EV variant later Similar strategy seen with Mahindra XUV400 in the electric segment.
Industry estimates suggest pricing around: ₹9 lakh – ₹13 lakh (ex-showroom). That would place Vision X right in the heart of India’s booming compact SUV market.
Mahindra could reveal the Vision X concept first, followed by the production version. Expected India launch window: August 2026.
When it arrives, Vision X may compete with: • Tata Nexon • Hyundai Venue • Kia Sonet The compact SUV battle will only get bigger.
With models like Mahindra Thar and Mahindra Scorpio N, Mahindra already dominates SUVs. Vision X could bring that same rugged appeal to the compact segment.
If Mahindra nails the design, technology and pricing, the Vision X could become one of India’s most exciting compact SUV launches by 2026. SUV lovers should keep an eye on this one.
