One of India’s toughest SUVs might be getting a serious upgrade. The next Mahindra Bolero refresh could arrive by 2026, bringing modern features while keeping its rugged DNA.
For over two decades, the Mahindra Bolero has been known for durability and simplicity. Farmers, fleet owners, and rural drivers trust it for one reason: It just keeps going.
The 2026 refresh may introduce: • Sharper front grille • Modern LED lighting • Updated bumpers • Fresh alloy wheel A more modern look while staying unmistakably Bolero.
Expect improvements like: • Larger infotainment display • Digital instrument cluster • Better seat comfort • Improved dashboard design The Bolero may finally feel more premium inside.
The updated Bolero will likely retain the trusted 1.5L mHawk diesel engine. Currently used in the Mahindra Bolero Neo, this engine offers solid torque and fuel efficiency for tough terrain.
The 2026 model could add: • 6 airbags (possible) • ESC stability control • Rear parking camera • Stronger body structure These upgrades would help meet upcoming safety norms.
Some reports suggest the refreshed Bolero may borrow elements from the Mahindra Scorpio N architecture. That could mean better ride quality and improved handling.
The current Mahindra Bolero starts around ₹9–10 lakh. With new features, the 2026 refresh could be priced between: ₹10 – ₹12 lakh (ex-showroom). Still affordable for a rugged SUV.
Auto industry buzz suggests: • Development phase since 2025 • Reveal In Aug-2026 Official confirmation from Mahindra & Mahindra is still awaited.
